Summary:	On October 7, 1995, Scottsdale citizens celebrate their hard work on "Keep Scottsdale Beautiful" Civic Pride Day. Residents participated in various activities to spruce up the city such as roadside cleanup, painting buildings and basketball courts, and neighborhood beautification projects. The Scottsdale Pride Commission (1993-2011) helped organize the "Keep Scottsdale Beautiful" city-wide community clean-up events. When the commission was dissolved, some of its commissioners and Scottsdale Leadership alumni created a non-profit Keep Scottsdale Beautiful and absorbed many of the former commission’s responsibilities.
