Native Phoenicians (and those who moved to Phoenix around the late 1940s) will remember clearly, the enticing scent of flowers all along the south Phoenix area between approximately 32nd and 40th Streets, along Baseline Road, from the late 40s through the 1970s. The last remnant of that era belongs to Nick Nakagawa, who still runs a flower shop located in the same general area today.
