Patricia Myers, author of Scottsdale: Jewel in the Desert, published in 1984, is a long-time Scottsdale journalist and aficionado of the Jazz scene. She is a former Arizona Republic food editor and was an entertainment columnist-restaurant critic for Phoenix Magazine among others. She is a former writer-editor of the Scottsdale Progress.
