The Sunburst Hotel originally opened as the Executive House Arizonian in November 1961, with Jayne Mansfield as the celebrity ribbon-cutter. It became the Sunburst Resort during the 1970s. For many years, the National Indian Arts Exhibition was held there, as well as the Scottsdale Jazz Festival. In the early 2000s, the resort changed its name to Caleo, then to FireSky Resort, and now, its current name, The Scott Resort & Spa. It is located on the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Chaparral Road.
SCOT-SHS-2011-0078 is dated August 1975.
